  2. The baccalaureate degree is more than six years old at the time of application AND the undergraduate cumulative grade-point average is at least 3.0; OR
  3. The student has completed 12 graduate credit hours of Cleveland State University graduate course work AND received a grade of B or better in each course, OR
  4. The student has successfully completed a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited U.S. institution; OR
  5. For Graduate Certificate applicants only: the student provides written documentation of requisite professional experience

When an admission exam is required, you must score on average at the 50th percentile or above to qualify for degree, certificate, or licensure admission. Some graduate programs require higher admission examination scores.

All applicants should consult individual program descriptions for specific exam requirements. Click here for details.

Only examination results (which are not more than six years old at the point of application) received directly from the appropriate testing service are considered official and valid.

Admission exam information is also available from the Office of Graduate Admissions in Parker Hannifin Hall, room 227, and the University Testing Center in Rhodes Tower , room 1237.
